A personal connection for me: my significant other, Chad Hale, and my Great-Grandma Graves, who was 100 years old when she got to honor her fallen brother, Nicolas Hartman, are among the many honored here. Nicolas Hartman, who never returned from World War II, received a Purple Heart. Their names, along with many more, are etched into the stone of this park.
